Usually at this time of year, I prepare for the Westchester Rockland Walk4Hearing. I love being a part of this walk because it allows me to be part of a community and to raise funds to help. We will be walking "virtually" agin this year as we did in 2020.
This past year has been unimaginable. We have all been touched by loss but thanks to the vaccine (and President Biden), we can finally see glimmers of hope. It has been a year of Zooms and masks; both of which are especially hard for those of us who are hard of hearing. I (and millions like me) cannot see your face or read your lips behind the mask or when your video is off. This means that I probably wont really know everything you are saying and I might not as easily be able to pick up the clues I need to fill in the conversation.
You know me and you know that I have always been able to compensate and not only survive, but thrive. But it is not always easy and most of the time it is exhausting. So I am asking you to help support me in this virtual walk. There are so many in need and so many worthy causes, and I know money is tight. So, I am asking you to make a small donation to this one. If you could give $25 it would mean so much to me an to people like me.
