Pennsylvania Walk4Hearing

Team CHOP

Support Team CHOP at the 2020 PA Walk4Hearing!

Team CHOP participates in the PA Walk4Hearing each year in order to raise funds in support of the Center for Childhood Communication (CCC) at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP), including our loaner hearing aid bank and family support programming. We walk to support the children and families we serve, to raise awareness about the importance of hearing health, and to help improve the lives of people living with hearing loss and their families. No one should have to be on this journey alone.

Team CHOP would like to invite you to join us at the PA Walk4Hearing on 10/18/2020, lace up your shoes, and have fun!

The annual HLAA Walk4Hearing rallies communities across the country to create awareness about hearing health. We hope you will consider joining Team CHOP or supporting Team CHOP by making a donation during this year's Walk4Hearing.

The Walk day virtual celebration is an opportunity to gather online from all over the state of PA to be entertained, share stories, and raise funds that go to national and local programs. There will also be a virtual raffle with lots of great packages and items to bid on. After the virtual celebration, head out for a walk with family or friends, take photos or videos and post to social media with #walk4hearing, then get ready to join the afterparty on Zoom, where raffle winners will be announced.

The Center for Childhood Communication (CCC) at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) provides comprehensive diagnostic and rehabilitative hearing and speech-language developmental services for children from birth to 21 years of age.

The CCC is the region's first truly comprehensive center committed to helping children reach their full potential by delivering integrated family-centered clinical care, conducting innovative research and providing quality education in childhood communication and its disorders.

The Hearing Loss Association of America (HLAA) Walk4Hearing increases awareness about hearing loss, helps to eradicate the stigma associated with it and raises funds to provide information and support for people with hearing loss. Since 2006, the Walk4Hearing has raised more than $10 million and has become the largest walk for hearing taking place in cities across the United States.

Tell everyone about it! Follow HLAA Walk4Hearing on Twitter @Walk4Hearing and tweet using #walk4hearing to help promote the Walk as well as highlight your photos/videos from Walk Day. Don’t forget to also “like” the Walk4Hearing Facebook page and follow @hearinglossassociation on Instagram. Let’s use our social networks and spread the word!

Whether you join Team CHOP, make a donation, or help raise awareness by sharing what you’ve learned, we appreciate your help as we work to improve the lives of children with hearing loss and their families! See you on October 11 (NJ) or October 18 (PA)!!!
