Hey! If you don't know me, I'm Keith Abbey. I created this team to support the Walk4Hearing along with many other people!
Let's hop into some background.
I am a 16 year old homeschooler who has been to two other Walk4Hearing events (One in Clemmons, NC and two in Cary, NC). This year, I'm supporting the 2017 Walk4Hearing in Cary, NC. Yes, again. :) I live in Garner, NC and my mother and my sister have been supporting me and my hearing loss achievements for the last 16 years.
I've had hearing loss since I was born, or pretty much since I was born, and so far, I am half deaf in both ears. I really don't know why I have hearing loss, but it may have been to a syndrome of some sort that broke some hairs in my ears after I was born. There have been many struggles with my hearing aids, but with those many struggles, so many more achievements have been made!
I've been to two HLAA conventions and one AG Bell Convention (If you don't know, those are conventions based on hearing loss), and I have been to several events with kids my age on hearing loss.
As usual, at cinemas I use captioning glasses, and usually use T-Coil services whenever I can.
But yeah, that's about it! Would be awesome if you pumped out a donation to support our goal and to support the Walk4Hearing!
Anyways, thanks in advance, and if you have read this far, congrats on you!
