The Hearing Loss Association of America (HLAA) Walk4Hearing increases awareness about hearing loss, helps to eradicate the stigma associated with it and raises funds to provide information and support for people with hearing loss. Since 2006, the Walk4Hearing has raised more than $12 million and has become the largest walk for hearing loss taking place in cities across the United States.
Bailey, Vanessa, and Cherity all have a rare form of genetic hearing loss called reverse slope. There is little help available with assistive technology and very little information available. Our desire is to bring an awareness of reverse slope hearing in the hopes that help will become available. The annual WALK4Hearing on Saturday, June 10th in Long Beach for a fun, filled morning. There will be music, art, clowns, raffles, etc. Bring family and friends. Registered participants will receive a team tshirt (limited quantities). Registration is free, donations are welcomed!
