Serving Louisville and surrounding areas since 1948, Heuser Hearing Institute began as an educational center called the Louisville Deaf Oral School. Today, the institute includes Heuser Hearing & Language Academy, which offers outstanding preschool and kindergarten programs for children with speech and hearing challenges, Heuser Hearing Clinic, which is professionally staffed by audiologists, otolaryngologists, neurotologists and researchers serving patients of all ages, and the Heuser Early Intervention Program, which provides home-based services for infants and toddlers through the Kentucky and Indiana First Steps programs.Hearing loss can be prevented, screened for, and treated. The HLAA Walk4Hearing brings people together in communities to create awareness about hearing loss.
