WHY WE WALK:
We are walking because our family is EXCITED! We are excited to raise awareness about hearing loss and how it affects our son. J.R. was born with profound sensorineural hearing loss. He was born deaf. At 8 months old he received bilateral cochlear implants. At 9 months old he heard "I love you" for the first time. In the last 4 years, he has blown us away with his determination.
The money that we raise will go to the Hearing Loss Association of America and to the KENTUCKY CHAPTER OF AG BELL.
THANK YOU FOR SUPPORTING J.R.'s Super HEARoes !!!
The Hearing Loss Association of America (HLAA) Walk4Hearing increases awareness about hearing loss, helps to eradicate the stigma associated with it and raises funds to provide information and support for people with hearing loss. Since 2006, the Walk4Hearing has raised more than $12 million and has become the largest walk for hearing loss taking place in cities across the United States.
