PATH/Family Voices of CT is very honored to part of a community dedicated to improving the lives of children and adults who are Deaf/Hard of Hearing.
Who PATH/Family Voices of CT is...
PATH/Family Voices of CT is a network of families providing informational and emotional support to others who have a child with developmental or health related needs. PATH/FVCT reaches out to help strengthen families coping with similar situations in Connecticut, and the organizations that serve them to reduce isolation, empower families as advocates for their children and reaffirm their values as parents and caregivers.
What PATH/Family Voices of CT does...
PATH/Family Voices of CT offers a bouquet of services to families; referrals to community services, online newsletters and resources, training, speaker programs, health and information navigation. The heart and soul of our orgnaization is our one to one matching service providing one to one parent support with a trained veteran parent who has "been there" and understands what the family is going through. We have been doing this for over 30 years.
Why PATH/Family Voices of CT walks...
PATH/Family Voices of CT has a personal connection to the hearing loss community through their Parent to Parent Coordinator, Sheri Romblad. Her son recieved a late diagnosis of SNHL at the age of 8. We have stood by her side and supported her efforts to raise 2 bills for CT that would increase hearing screenings for CT school aged children. We have also supported and continue to support her journey advocating and empowering her to get the best services for her son.
We would like to ask you to consider supporting our emerging Deaf/Hard of Hearing program designed to provide tools and resources to families with children who have hearing loss. No donation is to small to change the life of a child!
