Can you help support the Sound Start Babies™ Program and the HLAA? Sound Start Babies is an early intervention and nursery program for children from birth to age three who are deaf or hard of hearing. If babies with hearing loss don’t receive intensive therapy during their most critical years of brain development, irreversible delays in speech and learning can occur. Early intervention therapies from Sound Start Babies help babies learn to listen, speak and communicate so they can lead a limitless life.
The Sound Start Babies™ Program is financially supported by The Sound Start Babies Foundation (formerly The Lake Drive Foundation). The Foundation's mission is to help families of deaf and hard of hearing babies during their most critical years of brain development regardless of their financial status. The Sound Start Babies Foundation is comprised of a volunteer board of trustees including business and community leaders, educators and pediatric hearing loss professionals, and raises money exclusively for the Sound Start Babies™ Program.
