Do You Know Six People?
If so, chances are you know someone with a hearing loss. That's because 48 million people in the U.S. - or 1 in 6 - have some degree of hearing loss.
I'm participating in the Walk4Hearing to raise funds and awareness to help improve the lives of people with hearing loss, starting right here in my own community. I want to let others know that they are not alone, that there is help, and that they can live well with hearing loss. The funds I raise will go directly to the national and local programs and services dedicated to supporting those individuals.
LemonAids was founded by 8 year old Carly. Although Carly doesnt have hearing loss her two little sisters and we recently just found out her Father does as well. Carly quickly learned how expensive hearing aids were and wanted to help raise money for children who need help paying for hearing devices. She knows how much her sister benefit from their hearing aids and thought it was unfair that some people had to simply go without beacsue they couldnt afford them. Carly designed and sewed a small plush lemon that she could sell to make money for children with hearing loss. She has now made and sold hundred all over the world. Helping many children and their families afford the devices they need. So join Carly's team and come walk with us!
I'm walking because I want to make an impact on the lives of people with hearing loss. Can I count on you to take the first step and support me?
