There are many ways volunteers can participate in the HLAA Walk4Hearing.
Walk Day Volunteer: We always need help on the day of the Walk. You can be involved in registering walkers, serving refreshments, handing out t-shirts, helping with set-up and/or clean-up, and much more.
Walk Promotion: There are lots of ways to promote the Walk. You can hang up flyers in your local community, distribute brochures to healthcare facilities, schedule presentations at local Chapter meetings and other hearing loss related groups, and reach out to local media to cover the Walk.
Sponsorship Recruitment: Know local businesses in your community that might be interested in sponsoring your Walk, donating goods or services, or participating as a company team? You can help bring them on board!
Local Walk Committee Assistance: The people who run the Walks on a local level are always looking for volunteers. You can provide valuable assistance to the Walk committees leading up to the Walk4Hearing.
Social Media Ambassador: Do you have a big social media network? Help spread the word about the Walks through Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. We can even provide a list of sample posts and tweets for you to use. Please submit your information to sign up as a volunteer. The Walk Chair of your selected Walk will be in touch with more information as Walk Day approaches. Thank you for your support!
