Are you a student looking for community service hours? Just starting out in the workforce and need a resume builder? Or have you recently retired and you’re looking to give back to your community?
Participating in the Walk4Hearing as a volunteer will place you right alongside others who value hearing health and the mission to spread hearing loss awareness. You’ll join a team supported by the community and led by passionate Walk managers and chairs. When you see children happy and accepted, parents discover new resources, and returning walkers welcome newcomers – you’ll know you have been part of the effort that made it all possible.
Walk Chair: The Walk4Hearing is an incredible event that needs an incredible person to oversee its success. With the help and guidance of one of the National Walk4Hearing Managers, the Walk Chair is responsible for leading the Walk Committee to meet event goals and objectives.
Walk Committee Roles (availability varies by Walk)
Various roles include Walk treasurer/administrator, volunteer coordinator, marketing and communications coordinator, community outreach coordinator, and many others, depending on the needs of the specific walk location.
Walk Day Volunteer: Walk day is so active and there is always a need for helping hands. You can help with registration, distribute t-shirts, serve refreshments and much more.
Please consider volunteering at your local Walk4Hearing. The manager of your selected Walk will be in touch with more information. Thank you for your interest and look forward to your valuable assistance at the Walk!
