Kids, join the Walk4Hearing and walk with American Girl’s 2020 Girl of the Year!
The Hearing Loss Association of America (HLAA) and American Girl have teamed up in honor of the company’s 2020 Girl of the Year, Joss Kendrick, to increase awareness and educate people about hearing loss.
Joss, a fierce athlete with a passion for surfing and competitive cheer, was born with hearing loss and wears a hearing aid in her right ear. She joins American Girl’s lineup of inspirational characters who impart meaningful life lessons to help children learn and grow with confidence. Whether she’s riding a wave on her surfboard or practicing her routines in the gym, Joss demonstrates the importance of trying new things, pushing past stereotypes, and being a good team player.
Tell us why you want to walk with Joss. What does it mean to you to know Joss? Why is she special? What inspires you about Joss? Learn more about Joss and her story.
One child from each Walk4Hearing location will win a Joss Kendrick doll and accessories!
Like Joss’ character, there are millions of people around the country with hearing loss, working hard every day to navigate a hearing world. We encourage you to raise funds to support education and essential resources that assist people with hearing loss and their families to live life to the fullest.
