How to Participate

Join us June 12 and 13 for Walk4Hearing Weekend. Our spring Walk locations are teaming up online to support one another while highlighting the uniqueness of each city. After the online celebration, we encourage you to walk in your neighborhood and have fun! 

Spring Walk4Hearing Weekend Schedule:

Saturday, June 12

Bay Area and Long Beach Walk4Hearing, 9 a.m. PT
Connnecticut and Westchester/Rockland Walk4Hearing, 10 a.m. ET

Sunday, June 13

Michigan, Milwaukee, and Nashville Walk4Hearing, 10 a.m. ET / 9 a.m. CT

Fall Walk4Hearing Schedule:

We are hopeful that Walk Days will be in person this fall. The health and safety of our participants, staff, and volunteers is our top priority in making this decision.

Please check our website or sign up for HLAA’s Hearing Life e-News for the latest information. If you previously participated in a fall Walk, you will receive an announcement by email explaining how the fall season will be organized.

Our spring locations will team up and support each other on one spectacular weekend that will bring greater awareness to hearing health. This format allows us to support one another, see the impact of our work in other cities, listen to participants share their hearing journeys, and make new friends across the country.

In advance of Walk Day, plan your walk route and send invitations to your team, friends, and family to join you. After the online celebration, meet up and walk with everyone to raise awareness in your neighborhood!

Join our HLAA Walk4Hearing Community Central Facebook group to cheer each other on, share ideas, and post pictures!

Yes! Walkers and teams will meet online for a Walk Day celebration via Zoom using a computer, tablet, or cell phone. After the online event, participants will continue the celebration in their neighborhoods while promoting the importance of hearing health and raising awareness for hearing loss.

Walk Day celebrations will be conducted online via Zoom using your computer, tablet, or cell phone to sign-on. More information will be provided to registered participants via email and on your local Walk4Hearing webpage.

Online Walk Day celebrations will be approximately one hour. Live captioning and ASL interpretation will be provided for each event.

Good news, the Walk is online this spring so you can participate from anywhere! Review our Walk4Hearing locations and select one to join.

You can donate to a walker or make a general donation with these simple steps:

  • Go to walk4hearing.org and click on “Find A Walk”.
  • To make a general donation: click on the green button in the upper right-hand corner that says, “Make a General Donation”.
  • To donate to a walker: in the column on the right, enter the name of the walker you wish to support and click on the magnifying glass to search. Follow the link to the walker’s fundraising page.

Contact us at walk4hearing@hearingloss.org to request your local Walk treasurer’s mailing address.

Those who raise $100 will receive a Walk4Hearing t-shirt. Raise $350 to receive a Walk4Hearing hat. Items will be mailed directly to the home address you provided upon registration. For the spring Walks, last day to qualify for a Walk4Hearing t-shirt and/or hat is July 18.
