2021 Walk4Hearing
Safety Guidelines

Hearing Loss Association of America is committed to the safety of our participants, volunteers and staff it remains our top priority and these events will be held in keeping with CDC, state and local public health guidelines.

Participant and Vendor Recommendations:
  • Be vaccinated against COVID-19 or wear a mask. We encourage all participants to physically distance and to wear a mask, especially if you are in a crowded area.
  • If you are sick or have any symptoms of COVID-19, please stay home and get tested.
  • Register online prior to arrival to avoid contact.
  • If you prefer, walk in your neighborhood.
  • Offline donations:
    • Attending Walk Day - place cash/checks in envelope with your name and team name, drop off at registration.
    • Not attending - contact to receive treasurer mailing address.
Take Note:
  • Walk Day will look different this year to ensure physical distancing.
  • Hand sanitizers will be available at each tent.
  • Activities will be limited to reduce touch points and further the safety of participants, especially those who are not yet qualified to be vaccinated such as children younger than 12.
  • Refreshments will be provided as packaged items and bottled water.
  • Fundraising incentives (official Walk4Hearing t-shirt and hat) will be mailed to all qualified participants.

How to Participate

This fall, Walk Day events are back in-person! Join us as we bring attention to hearing health and raise funds to ensure that people with hearing loss receive the resources needed to live better.

On Walk Day, be part of the celebration, connect with walkers, teams, alliances, HLAA Chapters, and corporate partners. Our combined passion for the cause will bring hearing health front and center. Join us to help everyone, at all stages of their hearing journey, feel confident and empowered to overcome challenges and support one another.

There are no online celebrations scheduled this fall. Should an in-person event need to be cancelled, a virtual celebration will be considered. Your safety is our priority and each location will follow CDC and local public health guidelines.

Good news, you can join any Walk4Hearing location, fundraise, and plan a walk in your neighborhood to support our mission. Review our Walk4Hearing locations and select one to join.

You can donate to a walker or make a general contribution with these simple steps:

  • Visit and select “Find A Walk”.
  • To make a general donation: click on the green button in the upper right-hand corner that says, “Make a General Donation”.
  • To donate to a walker: in the purple box in the right column, enter the name of the participant you wish to support. Click on the magnifying glass icon to search. Follow the link to the walker’s fundraising page.

Contact us at to request your local Walk treasurer’s mailing address.

Those who raise $100 will receive a Walk4Hearing t-shirt. Raise $350 to receive a Walk4Hearing hat. Items will be mailed to your home address on file.
