2023 Walk4Hearing
Event Guidelines

The Hearing Loss Association of America (HLAA) is committed to the safety of our participants, volunteers and staff and remains our top priority. All Walk4Hearing events will be held in keeping with CDC, state and local public health guidelines.

Participant and Vendor Recommendations:
  • Be vaccinated against COVID-19.
  • If you are sick, we encourage you to consider following CDC Isolation and Precautions guidelines before attending a Walk.
  • Register online prior to arrival to avoid contact.
  • If you prefer to avoid crowds, walk in your neighborhood.
Take Note:
  • Hand sanitizers will be available at each tent.
  • Refreshments will be provided openly and/or as packaged items and bottled water is available to participants.

How to Participate

Join us as we bring attention to hearing health and raise funds to ensure that people with hearing loss receive the resources needed to live better.

On Walk Day, be part of the celebration, connect with walkers, teams, alliances, HLAA Chapters and State Organizations, and corporate partners. Our combined passion for the cause will bring hearing health front and center. Join us to help everyone, at all stages of their hearing journey, feel confident and empowered to overcome challenges and support one another. Register today for one of our 20 locations and be among the first to receive updates about Walk Day, ways to fundraise, and how to get more involved.

Good news, you can join any Walk4Hearing location, fundraise, and plan a walk in your neighborhood to support our mission. Review our Walk4Hearing locations and select one to join.

You can donate to a walker or make a general contribution with these simple steps:

  • Visit walk4hearing.org and select “Find A Walk”.
  • To donate to a walker: click on the orange “DONATE” button under the main photo then search for the walker you wish to support. Click on the magnifying glass icon to search by name or team. Follow the link to the walker’s fundraising page.
  • To make a general donation: click on the orange “DONATE” button under the main photo and select, “Make a General Donation”.
  • Attending the Walk - place cash/checks in an envelope with your name and team name and drop off at registration.
  • Not attending the Walk? Contact us at walk4hearing@hearingloss.org to request the Walk treasurer’s mailing address.
  • The tie dye t-shirt and duffel bag incentives are distributed at the registration tent on Walk Day and will not be mailed.
  • The $1,000 incentive, long sleeve t-shirt, will be mailed to you at the address provided when you registered. To receive a long sleeve t-shirt, deadlines for May and June Walks is July 16 and for Walks in September, October, and November is December 17.
